Choose Your Habits

Every choice you make each day has an important influence on your life and your success. 

Yes, Even the seemingly routine choices about how much sleep you get, what time to get out of bed, brushing your teeth, and what you eat for breakfast.  Why?  Because these choices are habits, and habits play a huge role in how successful you are at reaching your goals.

Zig Ziglar says, “The fastest way to success is to replace bad habits with good habits…” and good habits are simply one good choice after another.


Are your habits moving you closer to your dream life or farther away? To answer that question you have to be very clear on what your dream life looks like.

Have you really taken the time to describe your dream life. If not, do some soul searching about what you really want in life. What is your WHY, your calling, your purpose? What makes your heart sing?

Then set goals that will create that life for you. Having goals is a choice. Without goals, what are you striving for? 

Start choosing good habits that move you closer to your goals. Change your choices, change your future.

Your life is a direct result of the choices and decisions you made in the past and every choice carries a consequence! Remember that you choose your thoughts, habits and even your feelings.

  • Do you want to be healthier? Make better habits about food and exercise.
  • Do you want to be more successful? Make better habits about your mental input —  who you surround yourself with, what you read, and what you watch.
  • Do you want to improve your finances? Choose good money management habits instead of letting your money manage you. 

I challenge you to pick one habit that is not contributing to your dream future and replace it with a good habit that will move you closer to reaching your goal. Once you created a new good habit, pick another bad habit to replace with a new good habit.


While practicing you new good habits you will encounter temptations and things you can’t control that can set you back if you you let them.

Remember, what sets us back is not as much what happens to us, but our response to what happens to us. The most important thing is how we RESPOND to what happens to us in our lives. And that is a CHOICE!

Stop – Challenge – Choose!

Pretty soon, you will find your choices have created habits that have led you right where you want to go. When you are not hindered by unhelpful habits, you will find a whole new world of opportunities opens up to you.
